「大正仙台 東西南北」は、大日本帝国陸地測量部が1905年（明治38）年に測図し、1925年（大正14）年に発行された、2万分の１の仙台地形図です。本原図は「仙臺近郊 東部」、「仙臺近郊 西部」の2枚からなりますが、アプリ製作にあたり1枚に統合することで、東は仙台市若林区荒浜、西は仙台市青葉区折立、南は仙台市太白区中田町、北は仙台市泉区七北田の各界隈を示す地図としました。
市中心部周辺の様子を知る手がかりとして、例えば、現在は廃線となった秋保鉄道や仙台軌道、また、奥州（陸羽）街道添いに点在する宿場町、旧道に形成された街並み、その他、地名や土地利用状況など、90年前の詳細な情報が盛り込まれております。前作「仙台地図さんぽ」ユーザーからもリクエストの多かった地図をお楽しみください。
